Competing with cut price hotels has been no joke for the owners of guesthouses and B&Bs in recent years, but the best have USPs that have allowed them to thrive - and it’s not hard to see what the most obvious USPs are at this beautifully situated guesthouse which overlooks the Beara peninsula, with field walks through farmland down to the shore...but, lovely as the surroundings are - and the nearby town is also exceptionally charming - it’s the owners’ old-fashioned Irish hospitality that really makes it stand out.
Guests love the welcoming and efficient reception, spotlessly clean accommodation and excellent breakfasts - and that their hosts are a veritable mine of local information. A real Irish gem.
