The aptly named Skinflint is an urban pizza joint for the 21st century, brought to Dublin’s casual diners by the team behind Jo’Burger and Crackbird, using the same winning formula of focusing on one speciality and doing it well.
Tucked away down the narrow Crane Lane, hidden off Dame Street, Skinflint reeks of reclaimed ‘shabby chic’, old doors for tables, exposed light fittings and 70s disco music rolling out of the speakers.
Everyone has an opinion on pizza style and this is the place to enjoy a unique spin on super thin and crispy ‘flat bread’ style pizzas with gourmet toppings using artisan ingredients, such as the ‘Philomena’ of Porchetta, Rocket and Pecorino or the ‘Suzie’ topped with house Chorizo and pink peppercorns, drizzled with their own spicy Firebee honey.
Pizza may be the main event, but the menu also offers plates of smaller bites such as mac n’cheese, ribs, hummus, tapenade, and a selection of in-house meatballs and sauce. You can wash it all down with a cocktail, a glass of Prosecco or wine, or a cold Irish craft beer.
