Opened by chef Stephen Higginson and his wife Cristina in 2006, the Square Bistro has been Lisburn’s most consistently popular restaurant for over a decade.


It’s a warm, friendly and atmospheric venue, with a loyal clientèle who keep coming back for the terrific service given by well-trained staff as much as the excellent, carefully sourced, food - and great value. (Who wouldn’t want to pop in for a delicious weekday lunch at £16 for two?)


Steaks from Peter Hannan are a speciality, also their themed nights (Tapas, Curry, Sea-food) which have a keen following.


In 2017 the Higginsons teamed up with top chef Danni Barry (formerly head chef at Deanes Eipic, Belfast), to re-open the much-loved Clenaghans restaurant near Moira.
