This is an elegant 19th century listed building on the corner of Botanic Avenue, just a short stroll from the city centre and is a good choice for business visitors. The reception lounge is on the first floor and the ground floor is taken up by the Metro Brasserie and a stylish club-like bar, Bar Twelve, that is particularly lively and popular at night - so noise could be a problem in front bedrooms.
This Belfast hotels spacious bedrooms include suites and superior rooms, that are more elaborate and have luxurious bathrooms (some with Victorian roll top baths and walk-in showers), but all are comfortably furnished, with neat bathrooms. Breakfast is taken in the contemporary Metro Brasserie on the lower ground floor (see below), which is open for all meals.

Metro Brasserie:
This popular restaurant has a following for its good value contemporary cooking, and the atmosphere is welcoming and pleasant. The main restaurant is split level, classy and elegant, with an audible buzz and comfortable seating including banquettes around the walls.
Menus offer well-sourced, often local, ingredients and accomplished cooking – sometimes in unusual combinations, such as lavender and goat’s cheese terrine, with fig & port chutney and toasted brioche, or Finnebrogue venison, with wild mushroom strudel, butternut squash purée, spinach and Madeira jus.
The 1/2 course Early Bird menu is especially popular and very reasonable at £10.95 / £14.95, including a glass of house wine.
