This remarkable pub near the Odyssey Arena is in one of Belfast’s few remaining 18th century buildings; built in 1711, it is the city’s oldest listed building.
It has been extensively and carefully renovated allowing the original bar (which has many interesting maps, photographs and other memorabilia of old Belfast) to retain its character while blending in a new café-bar and restaurant.
It is worth a visit for its historical interest, and the modern food offered includes an interesting lunch menu (‘open flame’ wok cooking is a speciality), a slightly more formal evening menu and light food through the day.
