The Lo family’s city centre Belfast restaurants located just off Shaftesbury Square is known as one of Ireland’s more authentic Chinese restaurants and, as it became better known, growing demand led to a move to bigger premises across the road.
Old hands may miss the squeeze, but what you still get here is the classic Chinese dishes which are already familiar - but created in a style that does not pander too much to western tastes, without the usual “blanding down” typical of most oriental restaurants in Ireland.
They may also offer more unusual dishes, which can offer a genuine challenge to the jaded western palate: be prepared to be adventurous.
