Just outside Doolin, and commanding dramatic sea views across to the islands, the heart of the Linnane's family-run hotel is an eighteenth century house. It makes a good base for a family holiday - it is only a mile to a good beach, there is sea-angling and golf nearby and, of course, there is the traditional music for which Doolin is world famous.
Public rooms include a comfortable bar for all weathers - it has a sea view and an open fire.
Bedrooms vary considerably in size and outlook due to the age and nature of the building: rooms at the front are most desirable - several at the back have no view, but are otherwise pleasant, and all have been recently redecorated. There are two extra large bedrooms and two singles; all have phones, tea/coffee trays and TV (local stations).
Children are welcome - outdoor play area and children's menu provided. The restaurant, which is open to non-residents daily, offers reasonably priced menus and a well-balanced selection of old favourites along with some more modern dishes.
