The Doherty family's immaculate owner-run hotel is beautifully situated in the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht and provides a very comfortable base for exploring the area.

This immaculate family-run hotel is beautifully situated in the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht and provides a very comfortable base for exploring the area.

There has been a hotel here for many years - quotations from the Visitors' Book go back as a far as 1845 - but it has been re-built under the present ownership, re-opening in 1999.

Past and present are brought together neatly - not only in the hotel, which is furnished in a traditional style throughout - but in An Clachán, an impressive heritage centre and art gallery alongside, which is run by the hotel and also used for conferences and banqueting.
