Sea Mist House - Connemara

Offers stylish and comfortable accommodation just off the square in Clifden
Rooms 4 (all shower only & no-smoking, 1 family room); boradband wi/fi; private parking (3). No pets. Garden. B&B €40-55pps, ss €20. Closed Nov-Mar. MasterCard, Visa. abbreviations

Sheila Griffin’s attractive house in Clifden was built in 1825, using local quarried stone. Major renovations undertaken over the last few years have retained its character while adding modern comforts, allowing her to offer stylish and comfortable accommodation.

A large conservatory makes a lovely, spacious room overlooking the garden, where guests can relax - and fruit from the garden is used in spiced fruit compôtes and preserves which appear at breakfast along with home-made breads, American-style pancakes with fresh fruit salsa and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon, plus a special of the day which brings an element of surprise to the menu each morning.

The charming cottage garden adjacent to the house has been developing over the years and is now reaching maturity - guests are welcome to wander through it and soak in the tranquil atmosphere.

There are also many other gardens to visit nearby (the Connemara Garden Trail).
