The Loft @ The Linen Green

The Loft is an attractive café with high ceilings, lots of light and some memorabilia from Moygashel’s days as a textile mill
Open Mon-Sat, 9am-5pm. Closed Sun. abbreviations

In the heart of Ulster, near the Dungannon end of the M1 motorway and just three minutes off the main Belfast road (look for the sign to Moygashel village) is The Linen Green discount designer outlet and retail park, its phenomenal success testimony to the lure of retail therapy in its most pleasurable guise.

Developed on the site of a former textile mill, the complex retains an historic feel and hosts names such as Paul Costelloe, Foxford, Helen McAlinden and Ann Storey as well as shops offering luxury lingerie, textiles and treats for the house and garden.

Add to that generous parking and a choice of two contrasting restaurants, The Loft, and Deli on the Green (see entry), both run by Claire Murray, and it makes an appealing refuelling stop.

Upstairs in the main building, The Loft is an attractive café with high ceilings, lots of light and some memorabilia from Moygashel’s days as a textile mill.

Head up the stairs (lift access too) for a pick-me-up cappuccino and, perhaps, a generous scone, a tray bake or lemon meringue, or a quick lunch - sandwiches on good bread made to order from the salads and meats selection, or a tasty panini, with a good choice of hot and cold drinks too.
