A walk through New Ross town to find Philip and Patsy Rogers’ Emporium will be very rewarding for lovers of good food.

The concept is a natural evolution from Philip’s background in farming, and Patsy’s love of cooking: traditional country methods, handed down recipes and a respect for fresh produce are at the heart of this delightful shop and café, where everything is freshly made every day - and ‘chemically treated or pre-prepared foods are not welcome’.

Choose from a wide range of delicious freshly-prepared dishes beginning with delicious breakfasts and fresh bakes for elevenses, then moving on to soups, panini, wraps and ciabattas, warm salads, quiche of the day, and classic platters (fresh seafood, charcuterie, Irish farmhouse cheese) - and lots of other seasonal produce - and, perhaps, a perfectly brewed Illy coffee - then take time to browse around the shop, which has a vast range of goodies to take home, including complimentary medicines like homeopathic and herbal remedies.

Anyone staying in self-catering accommodation in the area should also check out the food to go, which offers the same high standards of genuinely home-cooked foods that Patsy serves in the café. A little treasure.
