Recently restored, with all the original features retained yet a fresh contemporary feel to the furnishings, this is a very pleasant place to stay, with all the advantages of old and new – bedrooms have smart en-suites and broadband and as well as television, phones, tea/coffee making and clothes pressing facilities.

Avril and Robin have two lovely friendly dogs, Billy the Goldendoodle and Beau Beau the Jack Russell - they welcome pets and there are kennels available.

There are masses of things to do nearby – golf, horseriding, fishing, walking, historical sites and gardens to visit among them– and Avril and Robin are great hosts, who enjoy helping guests to get to know the area and to get the most out of their stay.

They’ll see you off with a good breakfast, including freshly-laid eggs, in the morning – and how nice to come back to a welcoming open fire in the comfortable guest sitting room or TV lounge after a long day out and about.
