This long established gift shop and tea room was set up by the artist Beryl Suitor in 1990 and it’s a great testament to the consistently high standards that it remains popular after so many years.
A converted barn in a small orchard provides an attractively rustic setting and, as well as being an excellent gift shop - way above the average, lots of gift ideas incluidng lovely things for children - many of their products are also available through their online shop.
It is also a teashop, serving teas, coffees, snacks and lunches. And what a good little place it is.
Baking is a speciality, with a range of scones (hot cinnamon scones are the trademark style but “five different types of scones just out of the oven on our visit plus lots more”), muffins, biscuits, tray bakes, cakes and desserts all made on the premises, also hot dishes like baked potatoes, soups and toasties.
Everything is home made and tasty – the perfect place for a journey break.
