2 euro Serious About Seafood

Azur

Good cooking and stylishly simple presentation make a confident partnership in this prime riverside location
Seats 75. Open Tue-Sat 5-midnight, Sun 1-11pm. Set D €32, early D from €22. Vegetarian Menu. Children welcome, Kids Menu. Closed Mon. Amex, Visa, MasterCard abbreviations

This contemporary city centre restaurant enjoys a prime riverside location in an interesting area of the city – just around the corner from the Hunt Museum - and has plenty of outside seating as well as a bar, where you might enjoy a cocktail before dinner.

With exposed brickwork, dark beams, painted panels and good lighting making a pleasing setting for good food, the relaxed interior has casual style – bare table tops, paper napkins – subtly emphasising that you’re not paying for unnecessary extras.

Head chef Ross Kelly's cooking style is classic modern European, with seafood is a particular strength - a signature Trio of Seafood is one of the most consistently popular dishes. But steaks share equal billing and other meats are also held in high regard (cannon of local lamb is another speciality) and are vegetarians.

Good cooking and stylishly simple presentation make a confident partnership, and side dishes match up well.

Children are made very welcome here, and Azur is a restaurant that balances a relaxed ambience with a sense of occasion, as appropriate.
