Although an associated events venue commands the prime waterside location nearby, this former pub provides a warm and characterful setting for good cooking which showcases local ingredients.
Head Chef since 2016, Anthony O'Rourke offers seasonally-led menus that offer their mixed clientele a wide range of appealing food encompassing everything from tapas to steaks and seafood at accessible prices.
With a welcoming log fire burning in a huge stone fireplace on chilly days (and garden with picnic table in summer), painted beams, original artwork and an open kitchen all creating a space that is both welcoming and full of interest, this pleasing place is understandably one of the region’s favourite summer dining destinations.

All round, The BoatHouse restaurant at AnnaCarriga is a great asset to the Mid-West region – and one well worth remembering when planning a trip.
