The restaurant over Orla and Andy Donaghy’s pub in Sligo is approached by an attractive side alley, with a menu board displayed on the street.
It’s a long narrow room, furnished in a comfortable mixture of traditional and contemporary styles, with well-appointed white-clothed tables, soft lighting and neatly uniformed waitresses in black polo shirts and trousers with white aprons all creating a good impression.
Andy’s menus are lively and attractive, the cooking is confident and, an active supporter of local produce, he does a great line in well-aged steaks, and seafood. There’s also a wide choice of salads, pasta dishes and chicken - and the cooking style ranges from traditional (steak with home-made fries, crispy onion rings & HP sauce) to spicy (cajun chicken with a fresh fruit salsa).
This attractive well-run restaurant has earned a well-deserved place as one of the best in the area.
