Set in wooded landscape with magnificent views over its own golf course and the Suir estuary, this lovely 18th century house has a splendid Waterford Crystal chandelier to set the tone in the foyer, and public areas are elegant throughout.

Accommodation is shared between really lovely large, graciously proportioned rooms and suites in the old house, and more practical modern hotel rooms in a discreetly positioned new wing, but all are comfortably furnished to a high standard. (Self-catering accommodation is also offered in the grounds.)

Aside from golf, the range of activities available on site includes a swimming pool, and numerous health and beauty treatments.

The hotel’s fine dining restaurant, The Roseville Rooms, offers classical cuisine at dinner and for Sunday lunch. The restaurant is shared between two lovely classical, formally appointed dining rooms and it is a very pleasant place to enjoy an evening meal prepared by Head Chef Jenny Flynn and her team. There is also a choice of restaurants nearby (Waterford city, or Cheekpoint, both of which are only a few minutes’ drive).

In 2014 Jenny started to produce a range of homemade food products, which are made in the hotel kitchen. Available directly from the hotel, the range includes aromatic pear and tomato chutney, strawberry jam, granola, and Christmas treats such as dried fruit marinated with Muldoon whiskey and Dungarvan stout, mincemeat and Christmas puddings. Beautifully presented hampers are also available.
