All are welcome at Sean Ward’s picturesque and aptly name pub, and everyone enjoys the atmosphere – with a welcoming fire in the grate and the front bar jam-packed with bric-a-brac, it’s a delightful place.
And there’s music too, with local musicians playing traditional sessions on Tuesday nights all year, also Sundays in summer.
It’s not a daytime place, except at weekends, and it makes no pretence of being a food destination either: a range of gourmet pies, made in Donegal and served with chips, is the only food served – but there's a fine pint and a great collection of whiskeys and gins, to taste and discuss with this most hospitable of landlords.
