The clean Atlantic waters off South-West Ireland are ideal for sourcing wild shellfish, and for shellfish farming.


Located between Cromane and Rossbeigh, Noel and Patricia Riordan's Glenbeigh Shellfish specialises in supplying top quality produce from the Ring of Kerry area, including the famous Cromane Mussels - a product that local hotels and restaurants are proud to champion.


Although cultured in Castlemaine Bay (home to one of the largest natural mussel beds in Ireland), Cromane Mussels are generally known as wild mussels, as their production is very natural. They are simply dredged when young and the 'spats' are transferred to a more favourable location where nutrient-rich water allows them to grow to maturity in a natural environment and it's


The Glenbeigh Shellfish range also includes oysters -  Pacific (Gigas) and luxury Native Flat Oysters - and wild local cockles and periwinkles. 


They supply to the wholesale, retail and catering market, and are open to the public.
