Dubbed ‘the four star with flair’ Hotel Kilkenny begins impressively in the spacious contemporary foyer, which has a very large modern reception desk and relaxed seating areas.The decor is striking, enhanced throughout the building by paintings and original art work.


Comfortable accommodation includes about a hundred original rooms, which were refurbished in recent years in a smart contemporary style that is not too hard-edged, and a further 36 newer deluxe rooms.


The spacious bedrooms - some with a view of the gardens - are inviting, with warm lighting and all the necessary amenities, including well equipped bathrooms with quality toiletries.


This Kilkenny Hotels public areas include a modern bar ‘Pure’, which offers a speciality drinks menu, and fine dining is offered in ‘Taste’ restaurant. A good breakfast is also served in this comfortable big dining room which is nicely divided and, like mst areas of the hotel, has the walls hung with paintings. All the usual breakfast buffet foods are available, and a hot menu - the Full Irish, some egg based dishes, pancakes with syrup - is cooked to order.


Set in award winning gardens which are beautifully maintained  and look attractive at all times of year, the hotel is a popular wedding venue and offers extensive banqueting facilities and a state-of-the-art conference centre.


The 5-star Active Health and Fitness club is a special draw, and there are good amenities for families, including a Kids Club in school holidays..



If you arrive late, you may have a freshly made Pizza in the bar (Pure) or in your room.
