Founded in 2009 by Gordon Fallis, Inishmacsaint Brewing Company is a small craft brewery located on a farm just outside the village of Derrygonnelly in Co. Fermanagh, Northern Ireland. The brewery takes its name from the nearby island of Inishmacsaint on Lower Lough Erne.
This small, quirky brewery aims to brew beers that reflect the history and character of the local area. They try to do things differently, like lagering kegs in local potholes, maturing cask ales in the 18th-century cellars of local neo-classical mansions, searching the local moors and meadows for ingredients or growing grain and hops on their own farm.
The brewery started off only supplying a local restaurant in Enniskillen. Based on the interest shown for the beer, Gordon applied for a food innovation grant from Invest Northern Ireland. Now speciality and one-off brews are in the pipeline as well as secret beer festivals for die-hard connoisseurs.
