John and Helen Cooney’s modern four star guesthouse was only built in 2005, but quickly established itself as one of the most popular in the area. Not surprisingly, perhaps, as it is within walking distance of Kilkenny city centre in fine weather (15 minutes), has off-street parking, all the necessary amenities, and offers a very reasonably priced alternative to an hotel - with hands-on hospitality.
The eight bedrooms are individually styled, with multi channel TV, direct dial telephone and internet access, and all have whirlpool bath or power showers.
There’s also a comfortably furnished lounge for guests to relax in, and a smoking area is provided.
