One of the great characters of the Market, Ken Barrett has held a stall since 1980 and he farms the cattle, sheep and pigs that are butchered here, so the food chain is as short as it gets. As well as all the regular cuts, you’ll find the old traditional ones such as bodice, sheeps’ tongue and pickled pigs head – maybe also mutton, which is hard to find these days.
