One of Ireland’s oldest inns, The Mills Inn is in a Gaeltacht (Irish-speaking) area and dates back to 1755. It was traditionally used to break the journey from Cork to Killarney - and still makes a great stopping place as the food is good and freshly cooked all day - but is now clearly popular with locals as well as travellers.
New owners took over in 2003 and they have continued to develop the premises ever since, while retaining its old-world charm and a genuine sense of hospitality.
An atmospheric barn has been converted for use at busy times and for local events, and a large deli/wine & gift shop is located in old buildings alongside the inn.
Accommodation is also offered; comfortable rooms have a strong sense of style.
