O'Connell's

Four generations of O’Connells have been caretakers of this wonderfully unspoilt country pub
Closed 25 Dec & Good Fri. No Credit Cards. abbreviations

Four generations of O’Connells have been caretakers of this wonderfully unspoilt country pub and longtime owner, the late Mary O’Connell, delighted customers old and new for many a year until her death in 2012 at the age of 95.

Now run by her daughter Marguerite and other members of the family, it’s all beautifully simple two little bars with no fancy bits, lots of items of local interest, and a welcoming fire in the grate. What more could anyone want? As for directions: just head for Skryne Castle-  the tower beside the pub - which is visible for miles around.
