Beautifully located overlooking Lough Foyle, on the shore side of the scenic route that runs up the eastern coast of the Inishowen peninsula, this modern hotel is near the traditional holiday town of Moville, yet surrounded by extensive grounds and its own 9-hole parkland golf course, it’s in a world of its own.
Popular with locals as well as people on leisure breaks, the hotel can be very busy as weekends, especially when there is a wedding in progress, but mini breaks offer good value for accommodation, dinner and a spa treatment or a round of golf, and a much calmer atmosphere too. Good deals can be had at the weekends though too – ask what’s available when you make a reservation.
It’s an attractive, comfortable and family-friendly hotel, with spacious public areas and good amenities. Bedrooms are contemporary and comfortably furnished (although some may be in need of renovation), and most have wonderful views.
The hotel's Thalasso Spa makes full use of the lovely waterside location, as does the room used for wedding receptions. A swimming pool, gym and conference facilities round out the offering.
The Edge Restaurant is a destination in its own right, with a thoughtful, varied and good-value menu and an enviable location right on the edge of the lough, and a long wall of windows to take advantage of the view.
The setting is relaxing, offering shoreside walks as well as golf. It’s an ideal spot if you are touring the Wild Atlantic Way, as it’s located right at the start of it.
