Patricia Messom's little café-deli moved the very short distance from New Street to Bridge Street in 2013. But fans returning after some years will be delighted to find that, although bigger, it is essentially unchanged - they will still be greeted by the familiar welcoming aromas of coffee that have always introduced the lucky customer to the cornucopia of fine fare here.
Run by Patricia along with her daughters Sarah and Grace, this delightful shop/deli is crammed with specialist foods and wines, and there is a takeaway choice of cooked meat, fish and pasta dishes, all fairly priced.
Along with the excellent coffee, you'll find tempting cakes among the good home baking - and filled homemade baps and salads from the blackboard menu too (they also do soup, homemade pies and individual quiches, falafels and quinoa burgers).
Whether to eat in or take away, The Stuffed Olive is a special destination and its reputation is well earned.
