John and Philomena O'Sullivan’s charming creeper-clad mid-19th country house between Inch and Gorey is surrounded by two acres of mature gardens and, with woodlands, a river, a small lake and lots of seated areas to relax in, it is ideal for a quiet break.

Once the home of a prominent Wexford miller, there is also has a fine cut-stone courtyard and the house has retained its period features; now, with antique furnishings and big log fires, it is a delightful place to be. The O’Sullivans are hospitable people who like nothing better than to share the history of their home, and help visitors to plan outings and get the best out of their time exploring the surrounding area.

The six en-suite bedrooms are all very comfortably furnished, with power showers and toiletries, electric blankets for chilly nights and tea/coffee trays among the facilities. And you’ll enjoy good food here too – tea or coffee and home made scones are offered on arrival, and a good breakfast is served in the sunny dining room, overlooking the back garden.

With woodland and river walks and a tennis court on site, and hill walking and beaches only a short drive, this is a lovely place to relax.
