Campile is a small village situated in the south of County Wexford, Ireland. It is just 14km (9 miles) outside the town of New Ross. In Gaelic, the name is Ceann Phoill which means head of the Pill, the river that runs through the village. Campile is in the parish of Horeswood. It is situated under Sliabh Coillte.The river Pill gets its name from Poill which is the Irish for a creek or tidal river.
