Bare Food Company

Opened in September 2015, the Bare Food Company takes pride in serving 'non-processed, freshly prepared, sugar free foods that are fundamentally good for you'. You’ll leave this appealing café feeling satisfied but not stuffed, and virtuously healthy. ‘Rod’s Poached Eggs’ – locally produced poached eggs from Rod’s Organic Eggs with Bare baked beans served on sour dough bread from Knead Artisan Bakery, also from Louth.
Opening times: Mon-Fri 8-6pm; Sat 9-6pm; Sun 10-4pm. MasterCard, Visa abbreviations

Opened in September 2015, the Bare Food Company perfectly captures the trend for clean eating that shows no signs of abating.

The decor is bright and airy, with whitewashed walls, comfy sofas and a conservatory that floods the room with light.

Vegans are well catered for, with a decent selection of gluten-free options too - and they make a range of their own own ‘bare foods’ including ‘Bare Mayo’, ‘Bare Slaw’, ‘Bare Cheese’ and a ‘Bare Smoothie’.

For breakfast, the buckwheat porridge with almond milk, vanilla and fresh berries or the French toast with maple syrup, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit and a scoop of Nobó ice cream, perhaps with a fresh smoothie or cold-pressed juice, would be a great way to start the day. Or lovers of  a traditional hot breakfast might enjoy ‘Rod’s Poached Eggs’ – free range eggs from Rod’s Organic Eggs in Louth with 'Bare' baked beans and sourdough bread from Knead Artisan Bakery, Ardee.

For lunch, the generously portioned Bare super salad, made with spinach, avocado, chilli, quinoa, toasted nuts and seeds, will fuel you through the afternoon, but a range of sandwiches as well as hot dishes like curry, the Bare veggie burger, a steak salad, chicken kebabs or the frittata of the day are on offer too, all with a healthy twist, of course.

All the food served in the café is homemade and free from artificial flavourings, preservatives and refined sugar. You’ll leave feeling satisfied but not stuffed, and virtuously healthy.
