The Three Q's

This small, stylish restaurant on the main street in Greystones is run by three brothers, Paul, Brian and Colin Quinn, who bring together local foods and international inspiration to create innovative menus with real style
Seats 30 (outdoors, 8); Brunch Mon 9.30am – 3.30pm. Breakfast Tue-Fri 9.30am-11.30am. L Tue-Fri 12noon - 4pm. D Tue-Thu 5.30pm-10pm; Fri & Sat 6pm-10pm; Sun 5pm-10pm. Brunch Sat & Sun 9am-3pm. Not suitable for children after 6pm. Closed Christmas week. Amex, MasterCard, Visa. abbreviations

Not only in their home town, but actually on the street where their first family home was, the three Quinn brothers Paul, Brian and Colin opened this stylish restaurant on the main street in Greystones in 2006.  Their aim was to have a small neighbourhood restaurant that people would enjoy and this they have achieved very well, bringing together local foods and international inspiration to create innovative menus with real style.

And, far from achieving style at the expense of quality, the accomplished cooking is based on carefully sourced ingredients and also a house policy to make as much as possible from scratch, including breads, jams, ketchup, mayonnaise, stocks and sauces - and the difference is in the taste. Everything has real homemade flavour, and attention to detail is also seen in good side orders, including proper freshly cut chips.

The dinner menu has a smart edge, perhaps including dishes such as a speciality saddle of rabbit with sage and black pudding stuffing, while the lunch and brunch menus are more relaxed, offering tasty, fresh tasting combinations like a dish of corn fritters with crispy pancetta, avocado and tomato.

The aromatic flavours of North Africa and Arab cooking are introduced in some dishes, perhaps including a delicious dessert like Medjoul dates soaked in espresso, star anise and cinnamon, and served with vanilla mascarpone and shortbread.

There’s welcome originality here, also well informed service and fair pricing on both food and wine.
