This privately owned modern hotel is close to the sea, overlooking Rosscarbery Bay (although not on the sea side of the road), and it's an attractive building with spacious public areas enhanced by artwork of local interest, and the comfortable bedrooms - many of which have sea views - have everything that's needed. It is currently in the hands of a pro-active management team, who work hard to raise and maintain standards, although it is always busy so some degree of wear and tear is to be expected.
The wide range of outdoor activities available in the area includes horse riding, cycling, golf, pitch & putt, woodland trails, garden visits and water sports such as kayaking and stand up paddle boarding. And, should the weather disappoint, good facilities in the leisure centre offer alternatives for families - and a Kids Club operates during the school holidays.
The Celtic Ross is fortunate to have Euro-Toques chef Alex Petit heading up the food operations across the hotel’s range of dining options and, true to the Euro-Toque ethos, he champions sustainable, locally sourced food. His diverse food offering includes Afternoon Tea (daily) and Brunch (weekends), as well as a full à la carte and children's menu in the Kingfisher Bistro.
In the bar you'll find good choice of craft beers and ciders, and gin and whiskey menus are offered alongside wines and cocktails. Music every weekend.
