Farmhill is the neighbourhood restaurant that everyone wishes was within walking distance of their house.
Simply stylish with a touch of New England flair, the smart casual decor is modern and fresh - the perfect complement to the flavoursome contemporary cooking.
The menu is designed to appeal to all of the people, all of the time, and the kitchen has no problem delivering simple and more complex dishes with equal care and attention. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner – and brunch at the weekends – Farmhill is as adept at delivering a fish finger sambo as it is an excellent tagliata (Italian sliced beef with parmesan and herbs).
With Anita Thoma, formerly of Il Primo, in the kitchen, visitors can expect a menu that features some of her Italian-influenced signature dishes, as well as the usual salads, steaks, pasta dishes and burgers.
Provenance is to the fore, with a particular emphasis on quality ingredients from Tipperary, and the atmosphere is relaxed without there being any compromise on standards of service.
The food is good enough to make this a destination in its own right - but a well-priced and concise wine list and good value early bird menu make dinner at Farmhill a realistic and sensible-priced alternative to cooking at home.
