Noisy, loudly decorated, and busy – this informal Dublin restaurants perfect for those looking for a fun atmosphere and excellent reasonably priced food. Jo’burger has quickly earned a reputation in the top rank of Dublin’s new wave of gourmet burger joints, and offers quite a varied choice for a menu that concentrates almost exclusively on burgers.
While the music and occasionally cramped communal seating might not appeal to everyone, those who enjoy the energy of a place like this can look forward to some excellent food.
The menu (presented in old comic book annuals) consists of some 15 to 20 burger options, with beef, lamb, or chicken as the focus, with some quirky toppings. The current fashion for massively packed burgers, cooked to order, between fresh buns of real bread is seen here, and the sweet potato fries are developing a well-deserved cult following around town.
Salads are also available (but no desserts), and several foreign beers and ciders are on offer as well as a few wines, by the glass and by the bottle.
Jo’burger offers great value for money and this, along with excellent service, further explains the queues outside at weekends (no reservations).
