This traditional pub in Galway’s cosmopolitan city centre is an attractive place, with a traditional bar on the ground floor and a popular venue upstairs, where live music, comedy nights and theatre regularly feature.
It's a well run, customer-oriented pub with friendly staff, and there is a strong food component.
Expect menus featuring soups, sandwiches, salads, pastas, roasts, burgers, vegetarian dishes and daily specials to include fish. Main course prices range between about €10 and €13. Cooking is competent without being adventurous – “tasty, honest, homecooked food” is the promise, and it’s available all day.
A short wine list offers reasonably priced wines by the glass, and bottles under €20.
