Rafterys Bar Craughwell

Immaculately maintained and full of character, this friendly pub offers good food every day and makes a useful stopping place
Bar Food: 9.30-7.45 in winter (to 8.30 in summer), Sun 11-7.45. Children welcome (high chair, children’s menu, baby changing facilities). Closed 25 Dec & Good Fri. MasterCard, Visa. FREE WIFI abbreviations

In the heart of East Galway, you will find Rafterys Bar, a family run pub located in the picturesque village of Craughwell on the old N6 Galway to Dublin road.

This award winning premises is now run by Rachel Raftery who is the 4th generation of Rafterys here and continues the long established tradition of great quality and hospitality

Rafterys Bar is ideal for that stopping off point; relax in the new modern lounge and enjoy excellent food – breakfast, lunch, evening meal or tasty snack.

Enjoy the quality seasonal dishes using locally sourced ingredients, where possible, such as Kinvara Smoked Salmon, Aran Goats Cheese, Loughnane’s pork products and Sliabh Aughty Honey.  Vegetarian options and Gluten free dishes are also available.

Desserts are off the comforting kind, sticky toffee pudding, bread and butter pudding, apple crumble, and rhubarb pie.

Rafterys continues to carry the great vintage whiskeys they were alway known for and, of course other spirits, wines and locally crafted beers and ciders.

Pride is taken with the exterior part of the premises with hanging baskets, seasonal plants and flowers planted around the smoking area and carpark.
