Malin Hotel

Although it has been extensively upgraded in recent years, Patrick and Fiona Loughrey’s attractive hotel overlooking the green in Malin has lost none of its charm.
Conference/banqueting (200/320); free broadband wi/fi; secretarial services. Rooms 18 (1 suite, 7 executive, 11 shower only, 1 family room, 1 wheelchair friendly, all no smoking ); children welcome (under 3s free in parents' room, cot available free of charge, baby sitting arranged). No pets. Lift. Limited room service. B&B €45-60 pps low-high season, ss €15. Walking. Closed 25 Dec. MasterCard, Visa. abbreviations

Although it has been extensively upgraded the Malin Hotel continues to be an attractive hotel overlooking the green in Malin and has lost none of its charm.

The pleasingly traditional bar is a popular meeting place, and the accommodation is appealing: neat, attractively decorated bedrooms have phones, tea/coffee and TV; the older rooms have been re-designed and, along with their bathrooms, completely refurbished.

While some rooms are not very large, they are inviting and comfortable - offering a friendly and moderately priced base for exploring this beautiful area.

It's a popular short break destination - equestrian, kayaking and painting are among the themes offered - and a live music venue, with well known acts often performing in the Hotel's Village Bar

The Jack Yeats Restaurant is popular, and there is an informative and well selected wine list; however food hours are variable due to the seasonality of the business (bar meals usually all day from 12.30pm in high summer, with dinner daily from 6pm).
