Nicholas Lynch is one of the most experienced fish suppliers in the business, having already supplied quality fish and seafood to leading restaurants for over 20 years when the first retail fish shop opened here in 2007.
Nick, a former fisherman himself, sources much of the fresh fish directly from fishermen and the range offered is huge, with anything up to fifty varieties of local and imported fish and shellfish on sale on any one day, including lobster from an in-store tank.
There has always been plenty of advice on hand from knowledgeable and well-trained staff, and NicksFish soon earned a reputation for its high standards of seafood and service.
As well as fresh fish and seafood, NicksFish produce a range of ready meals, including fish pies, chowders and fish cakes; made at their Newbridge store, they are on sale at both shops, along with sauces and seasonings to simplify fish cookery for customers.
They also sell a selection of organic and artisan products from Ireland and abroad including cheeses from Sheridan’s Cheesemongers, organic wine, rapeseed oil and olive oil, pasta and pasta sauces.
An environmentally aware supplier, Nick supports fishery management and is careful to source quality seafood that is “free of preservatives, sulphates, growth hormones and chemicals”.
