Ristorante Romano

An old-fashioned Italian with simple décor, honest cooking, huge portions and old school service
Open 7 days. Wines from about €20 abbreviations

Long before there was so much as a hint that fashionable restaurants might open in this area, Romano's was widely recognised as one the best value Italian restaurants in town, especially at lunch.

Friendly and generous-spirited, this Dublin restaurant is a simple cafe-style restaurant (in the old-fashioned sense) and gives great home cooking with a little extra oomph - and good value wines too.

Expect lovely big home prepared pastas, generous side salads with DIY dressing, good steaks, homemade desserts and moreish espressos.

Great value, great little place - we need more like this.
