Aughris Head is a promontory in the parish of Templeboy, and on the north coast of the Barony of Tireragh, County Sligo. Aughris meaning the point of the horses is steeped in history and culture with remnants providing testament to a much and varied history.
Remaining largely untouched, Aughris has a unique and rugged coastline, as with the rest of Co. Sligo, the mountains and coastline inspire poets and artists and without doubt will enchant you today.
