Entering from the hotel lobby or from the street, you will find this very pleasing bar and restaurant, which has recently undergone a major refurbishment.
The Pemroke is known for a commitment to sourcing the best local produce – something there is no shortage of in the South-East, and particularly Kilkenny – and preparing it with care. Dinner menus can be expected to offer a well balanced choice in which popular ingredients will star, notably the beef for which Kilkenny is famous. Fresh fish and seafood from Kilmore Quay may feature strongly too, in interesting, tasty dishes.
Service is friendly and willing and an excellent drinks list complements the menu well – with a large range of cocktails (ask about the smoking 'Ford Special), spirits, sherry and brandy as well as a good choice of wines, there is plenty to choose from.
A wide ranging lunch menu is also offered, plus light food for morning coffee or afternoon tea.
