Dublin 3 offers visitors a taste of a different side of Dublin, and may not have the hustle and bustle that Dublin 2 offers, but has something of interest to all visitors.
The Bram Stoker Dracula Experience (353 1 805 7824) offers visitors a haunting walk through interactive experience, which is great fun, whilst learning about the fascinating life of Bram Stoker.
The Garden of Remembrance (353 1 888 3233) is a point of interest for people who are interested in Ireland’s political history as it is dedicated to the memory of all those who gave their lives in the cause for Irish freedom.
Dublin 3 is home to Croke Park Stadium, the hallowed ground of Ireland’s GAA Sports, which due to a recent re-development has a capacity of 82,000 and is the fifth largest stadium in Europe. The stadium provides an interactive exhibition, the Croke Park Experience (353 1 819 2323), which shows the history of Ireland’s GAA.
Visitors will also enjoy a visit to the Casino (353 1 833 1618), which is considered to be one of the finest neo-classical buildings in Europe.
Lovers of the outdoors might spend a morning or afternoon at the North Bull Island nature reserve.
