Malahide Castle

Malahide Castle, set on 250 acres of park land in the pretty seaside town of Malahide, was both a fortress and a private home for nearly 800 years and is an interesting mix of architectural styles.

There is a castle tour, numerous parkland walks, a large playground and extensive gardens (The Talbot Botanic Gardens).

The castle and out buildings are undergoing complete refurbishment in 2012 to improve facilities and to include additional areas such as an Avoca restaurant and lifestyle store.
