Midleton (Mainistir na Corann in Irish) is a satellite town in south-eastern County Cork, 22 km from the City of Cork on the N25 between Cork and Rosslare and on the Owenacurra River.
Midleton is well-placed for visiting Cork city, and also exploring the whole of east Cork, including Cobh (last port of call for the Titanic), Fota Wildlife Park & Arboretum and Youghal, famed for its connections with Sir Walter Raleigh. The pretty fishing village of Ballycotton merits a visit, and offers good coastal walking.
