Malahide, Co. Dublin

The attractive coastal town of Malahide is at the northern end of the DART line and offers plentiful accommodation, bars and restaurants and there’s quality shopping and an abundance of things to do. There’s a Farmers’ Market held here every Saturday, and the town is alive with bars, cafés and restaurants. Meanwhile, gardeners - and many who are just having a day out - head up to nearby Malahide Castle (+353 (0)1 846 2184), where there is extensive parkland, the Talbot Botanic Gardens, the Fry Model Railway and also an informal restaurant/tea rooms. Malahide is very convenient to many championship golf courses and there is also a sailing marina here.
