Flemings Restaurant

Michael and Eileen Fleming’s impressive Georgian house is set on five acres of garden and patio areas on a hillside overlooking the river and city. There is a choice of churches nearby, wedding blessings are possible here and there are plenty of photo opportunities around the house and gardens.

This wedding venues house has a distinct style and there is a personal touch to everything offered at Fleming’s: drinks offered on arrival include champagne or chilled white wine with a splash of peach liqueur or cassis, for example - and both champagne and house wine are very fairly priced.

The restaurant is in the old drawing rooms, which are linked by double doors and now make a lovely long dining room along the front of the house, with large shuttered windows and all the original features including high ceilings, polished wooden floors and elegant fireplaces - a fine setting for Michael Fleming’s excellent classical and modern French cooking.

The restaurant is ideal for weddings of up to 90 guests, but additional guests can be seated in the cellar wine bar, and a marquee can be hired for larger numbers if required; there is full consultation ahead of the events and items such as a marquee, band, the wedding cake any special floral requirements can be arranged.

Menus, which are very reasonably priced for the quality offered, include a choice of main course at no extra charge, and a hot and cold buffet option is available too.
