The Mustard Seed at Echo Lodge

Home to his famous restaurant, The Mustard Seed, which started life in Adare in 1985, Dan Mullane’s spacious Victorian country residence is set on seven acres of lovely gardens, with mature trees, shrubberies, a kitchen garden and orchard - and very luxurious accommodation.

Elegance, comfort and generosity are the hallmarks - seen through decor and furnishings which bear the mark of a seasoned traveller whose eye finds much to delight in while wandering the world: and it makes a wonderfully romantic wedding venue. Although wedding blessings are not possible here, there are several churches nearby including a real gem of a church in the village, within walking distance.

This wedding venues no wedding planning service available but everything that needs to be done to ensure a smoothly-run event is looked after including decorating the house with style. The wedding feast is served in the restaurant and, as good food and hospitality are at the heart of Echo Lodge, a wedding here is certain to be a memorable dining experience.

Head chef David Rice cooks in a modern Irish style, and their own wonderful organic kitchen gardens supply him with much of the produce for the restaurant, while other ingredients are carefully sourced from organic farms and artisan food producers.

Accommodation is shared between traditionally luxurious rooms in the main house, and three newer superior suites, a residents’ lounge and a small leisure centre with sauna and massage room in a converted schoolhouse in the gardens which could be the perfect base for guests able to stay on a few days and explore the area.

Before retiring, take a stroll through the lushly planted pleasure garden; there is even a special route - of just the right length - marked out for smokers.
